What Can Affect Battery Life?

Before we look at some different types of devices and how long their vape battery is likely to last, first let’s take a quick look at some of the variables which can seriously impact battery life.

Indeed, there are a number of factors which can affect how long your battery lasts, so if longevity is important then keep an eye on the following things:

Size of battery (mAh)

How regularly you vape

Wattage you’re vaping at (higher wattage will use battery faster)

Overcharging (can negatively affect battery life)

Fully draining the battery

Type of coils you’re using (low resistance coils will use up more power)

How Long Does a Vape Pen Battery Last?

First let’s start by answering the question ‘how long does a vape pen last’… To be honest this is probably a good place to start as chances are you’re quite new to vaping if you’re unsure of how long vape batteries last, and most beginners start with a vape pen such as the ones you get with starter kits.

When we look at the size of the battery inside our vape pens, we use a measurement called milliamp (mAh) which is a unit that measures electric power over time. The higher this number the higher the battery’s capacity.

Some devices – disposable vapes, for example – have a smaller mAh, so these aren’t really designed to last.

In contrast, some other vape devices have much higher capacity and once one of these high-mAh batteries is fully charged you can bank on them lasting much longer.

Most vape pens are between 1,000-2,000 mAh, so while some of the more advanced vape kits will certainly hold more power, they’re by no means a pushover and a well-built pen made by a respected manufacturer should last you a good while.

So how long does a vape pen battery last? Well, assuming it’s got a decent-sized battery then depending on how heavy you’re using your device, you can expect the battery to keep going for somewhere between 1-3 days.
